When the Filmmaker Moves On

What do you do when the film you are working on is no longer who you are. Finish it of course ( I have maybe two months left on it) But I’m so excited to move on to my next film “Obstacles” that I have been writing, I could pop. It’s been two and a half years now that I have been working on Odin, and although I still love it, I really don’t recognize the Joe who wrote it originally.

It’s puzzling but I’m trudging forward.

  1. Although it’s always “us” in our stories we do go through metamorphoses we don’t even notice because they don’t require a noticeable cocoon we can get in. Nonetheless, it doesn’t erase those facets of ourselves, they just hide away deep in our minds until the times are right for them to come out and evolve again. Can’t wait to see both!
